My daughter has attended YYC since she was 1. She is now 7 and still asks to go to the center. Heather and staff are not just care takers they have become friends and family to us. Heather is one of the most genuine caring people I have had the privilege to know.
You won’t find another center that will care more for your child. They are so loving and so good with all the kids.
I think one of the things that matter the most in choosing care is that your ideals and thoughts on parenting and care line up and if not always they at least respect the things that you are asking for in terms of how to care for your child. I have learned a lot from this childcare as my children have grown. Heather has two kids of her own that are grown and has been through all the things that we had not and was there to ask questions to in terms of handling things or questions as they get older. We can all benefit from having someone who’s already been through a situation and you can learn from their experiences.
YYC is the only childcare I would EVER recommend. If you can’t be with your children yourself, they are in the best care that is closest to family that you can get! Your children will learn what it feels like to have brothers and sisters with the other children in care. This is what you want for your children!
I think my favorite thing was going to the pool and all the crafts we would do.
I definitely recommend YYC. The staff pick up on where your child can improve, and actively work with them and with you as a parent to better your child’s wellbeing and skills.
I really liked when we would do science projects like making a paper mache volcano.
I absolutely would recommend YYC to others. This is a place where children learn about themselves and the world, to be kind to others, and about social responsibility. They learned independence and good manners, as well as other skills that they take with them to this day.
I would highly recommend YYC to others. Although, they are learning there is a huge sense of family at the center, everyone is treated equally. Our son has gone to YYC since he was just under 2 years old and has recently started kindergarten and all of the school age children look out for him during and after school. Heather, Randolph and Jureya are wonderful with the children and care for them as if they are their own. One of my favorite parts of YYC is that all of the providers are forthcoming if there are any behavior issues and do all that they can to work with you to use the same disciplines that you would at home. They are consistent, loving and most of all they enjoy and have fun doing what they do.
What I like most about my child’s care is knowing that he is taken care of so well and that he gets experiences that other daycares don’t always provide. Swim lessons and going on walks with Randolph are some of Max’s favorite times at daycare. My child can be rather difficult, but Heather and her staff have gone the extra mile to not give up on him and make the child care work for him anyway that they can.
I truly believe there is no better compliment to a childcare then when you have to pry your children out of there in the evening, and they are excited to go every morning. I also feel like one of the most important things we experienced is communication! It’s so hard to leave an infant somewhere new and with the updates I got throughout the day and at pickup I became comfortable soo quickly leaving them there to work and knowing they were being cared for the way I wanted them to be.
I know the staff and felt like my child would be safe and have a good time.
Yaks came highly recommended to us from several people. After speaking with Heather and visiting the center, we felt very comfortable having our son and daughter be in the care of the center while we were at work.
Heather is awesome and YYC is so great. I had the best time there as a kid. I think everyone should send their kid to YYC if they need childcare.
